Meet Adam

Passionate community advocate.

Adam Olsen (SȾHENEP) is the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Saanich North and the Islands and has been working in community governance since 2008 when he was first elected Councillor in the District of Central Saanich.

Inspired by the incredible place and people he represents in Legislature, Adam has a deep love for his home in the Salish Sea (W̱SÁNEĆ). He is an active advocate and facilitator, committed to improving public participation in governance to strengthen all aspects of the community and the province.

Adam has always worked in his family businesses, garden maintenance and Coast Salish knits and has worked two decades in the service and communications industries locally where he has gained valuable experience in building relationships, connecting people, problems, ideas and solutions.

Adam loves his work as an elected representative.

Adam was born in Victoria, BC in 1976 and has lived, worked and played his entire life on the Saanich Peninsula. He is a member of Tsartlip First Nation (W̱JOȽEȽP), where he and his wife, Emily, are raising their two children, Silas and Ella.
